What file format do you export in?
Blender allows us to export in pretty much every standard 3D format. DAE, OBJ, STL, FBX, and GLB are the most recommended. If you want, we can provide the .blend file instead if you’d rather export the files yourself.
What filament do you print with?
Presently, we use PLA and PLA+ filaments, as they are more environmentally friendly and have a wider variety of colours. We plan on expanding to the use of ABS, PETG, and TPU.
Where do your fossil replicas come from?
Each replica is modeled in-house, using either 3D scans from real fossils or built from scratch using images. Models based on scans have to be cleaned up of debris around the fossil before retopology can be done to it. In a way, we excavate digital fossils from mesh rocks.
I paid for modeling services. Can I sell my own prints?
Yes; any models we make for you are yours to do with as you wish.
Can you provide the stl files of your fossil models?
No. Any stl files associated with fossil replicas remain for the use of All Meshed Up and its sister site Zuperbuu Works. If you are a museum or place of education, we will make an exception to this.
Do your rigged models work in game engines?
Yes. Providing the game engine supports one of the files we can export in. We use our own models in both Unity and Godot Engines.
Do you provide animation services?
Presently, no. This is something we will consider in the future.
Do you ship internationally?
As the shop is not yet open, we cannot say for certain that we will ship to all locations. For the following locations, due to known issues, we cannot guarantee postage: Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
Do you take requests for new fossil replicas?
Yes! Even if we cannot get hold of direct scans to clean up, we can still make them from scratch using images; it just takes longer to do.
Can I sell prints of your models?
No, you cannot sell prints of any 3D models we provide for free, at least not unless you subscribe to our Patreon. For as little as £1 a month you can print and sell items we provide on MakerWorld for free, or our exclusive models we sell on patreon. https://www.patreon.com/thomastedwards
Do you provide 3D modeling classes?
We have multiple projects going on at Zuperbuu Works. Until then, we will not be providing classes or uploading further tutorials.
